Local and not so local goodies. The "local" include beautiful patchwork cushion covers and humourous Scottish dialect teatowels both made in Scotland, and the not so local are carefully chosen Fair Trade products from overseas.
I have known this company, New Overseas Traders for a number of years now, first meeting them when they had a stand next to us at a Trade Fair in Glasgow. They are a family business based in England but with links that go back generations to small industries and village collectives in India. They work closely with the villagers to give them the chance to earn a fair wage and their products are beautifully and skilfully made. They are a member of the World Fair Trade Organisation.
We have a selection of bright and cheerful items to decorate around the home.
