We will be closed for a week's holiday from tomorrow, Friday May 9th. Once we are back, the new designs will be put on the website including Father's Day and Patchwork.

We were away at the Aviemore Trade Fair last weekend. This is a trade only show ( in its 2nd year) showcasing a wide range of products all of which are designed and made in Scotland. I'm pleased to say the show is growing, with around 25 new stands this year. The quality of work on display was very high and it was good to see exciting new companies exhibiting for the first time. Unfortunately, the petrol crisis probably deterred some of the visitors and buyers from making the journey, and the show was quieter than it should have been. Those who came were impressed, and placed a lot of orders with different companies. We made contact with some gift shops and garden centres in the Highlands and will shortly be able to add some new outlets to our list of stockists.
The weather on Sunday was lovely and the Cairngorms were spectacular with their covering of snow. My other half ( and supposed business partner ) spent the whole weekend walking in the hills while I was doing the work, but that's nothing new!

I'm pleased to say that we are now able to take your payments by credit/debit card via Nochex.

We've had calls from some customers who are having trouble paying with their credit/debit cards via Nochex. This is because our set up with Nochex hasn't been completed yet. It should be up and running properly in a few days, but meantime, if you want to pay with a credit/debit card, just complete the order as if you are paying by cheque (check) and then phone us with your payment details. That way your order will be logged online and we will allocate your payment to the order.
I've spent most of today working on cards for our display in the Farm Shop just down the road from us at Blacketyside. If you are in the area you should visit us both - our Shop/Studio ( of course!) and just 200 yards away, the Farm Shop and Tearoom. They do homebaking to die for, as well as tasty lunches, and have an extensive choice of local produce to buy in the shop. Outside there is a well stocked garden centre. So, a visit to us, coffee and cake at the Farm Shop and walk it off along the beach. A great day out! Contact us for directions and opening times.

Another busy day. The latest batch of orders hit the Post Office this afternoon and we are taking a breath before we start the night shift! I've just finished restocking the Patchwork range of cards, which many of you love, I know - they disappear as soon as they are made! I will get them photographed and on to the website as soon as I can.
The Trade Fair at Aviemore is looming, and we will be previewing our Christmas range for the shops. Every year we add to the current range, this year being no exception, although the new designs are still floating around in my head - I've only got a week to get them on paper and from there on to the cards. No panic there then!
